Registration for the Finnish Conference of Cultural Studies 2021 has ended.

We also request you to sign up for the evening events and Friday’s book discussion, so we can prepare the catering and space to accommodate the right number of attendees. The evening event on Wednesday is held in Artfactory Siihtala and Thursday’s dinner event in restaurant Kerubi. Daytime events are held in the university campus area in Aurora- and Agora-buildings. Update 18th Nov: Thursday’s evening event and Friday’s book discussion are fully booked.

The accepted presenters and working group chairs are required to register for the conference no later than on Sunday 14th November. After this date, we will publish the final schedule of conference.

The registration for other participants continues until Sunday 21st November.
Although the conference is free of charge for undergraduate students, pensioners and unemployed, all participants are required to register in advance
via the online form.

After filling out the form you will receive an automated confirmation and payment instructions by e-mail. Payment can be made via bank-transfer or PayPal. The registration for the conference is binding. The members of the Society of Cultural Studies in Finland are eligible for a discounted registration fee.

Covid-19 and Potential Influence on the Conference

The organizers of the conference actively follow and assess the potential influence of the Covid-19 pandemic to the health and security of arranging the conference in Joensuu. As of now, we are organizing the conference in Joensuu. However, if necessary, the conference is moved to be held fully online. Any potential changes will be informed to the participants well in advance.
